Discover your own secret location in Wales' spectacular Snowdonia National Park at Beddgelert Snowdonia, a collection of 16 cabins sitting in a sheltered woodland glade. With the tumbling River Colwyn on one side and the magnificent mountains on the other, this is the perfect spot to reconnect with nature.
After crossing over the bridge into Beddgelert Snowdonia, the tranquillity of what feels likes a secluded paradise becomes apparent with evergreen trees dotted throughout the picturesque glade. There are 1, 2, and 3-bedroom cabins to choose from, ensuring that whether in a couple or a larger group there is something to suit everyone.
There are 2 different types of cabin - Golden Oak and Silver Birch. With a sleek and stylish design throughout, both have an open plan living area with cosy corner sofa and TV, dining table and chairs, and fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 or 3 bedrooms coming off the hallway and outside a decked area has a gas barbecue and a hot tub for that extra bit of luxury. Golden Oak Hideaway is a cosier 1-bedroom cabin, while there is a wheelchair adapted 2-bedroom Silver Birch cabin complete with hoist for the hot tub and ground floor wet room.
Upon arriving at Beddgelert Snowdonia guests check in at the Forest Retreat and this also acts as the information centre and local shop, with plenty of local produce on offer. There is also The Bakehouse which provides a selection of bread and pastries each morning, while the Feast & Fodder menu has takeaway options from pizzas to curries available each evening.
With such a beautiful setting right on the doorstep, getting out and about is highly recommended. Bike hire is available, with trails ranging from tough mountain paths to more gentler pursuits. Alternatively stroll across to the tiny station and jump on the steam train to explore the Welsh Highland Railway, which connects the coastal towns of Caernarvon and Porthmadog. Or simply pack up a picnic and go on one of the many walks, visiting the village of Beddgelert or the secluded lake of Llyn Llywelyn, with breathtaking views along the way.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport, 99 miles.
