The ideal base for meeting the wild inhabitants of this award-winning wildlife park in Kent
Forest Hideaways is owned and managed by Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve.
Small but-perfectly-formed, these cabins in the forest offer a quirky, cosy base ideal for exploring this incredible location. Wake in the morning to the sounds of the neighbourhood, which in this case includes Amur tigers, and fall to sleep listening to the calls of your nocturnal neighbours.
The Forest Hideaways are set amongst towering pine trees in an environment which is home to some of the planet's most magnificent creatures. Spend your days exploring the park or book specific activities which might include getting up close and personal with animals such as rhinos, cheetahs, bear and wolves.
These pretty one-bedroom wooden cabins have an ensuite shower room and are accessed by a few wooden steps which lead into a warm, inviting bedroom. The cabin interior is stylish, yet extremely cosy. Window boxes sit on the sills, botanical-inspired prints adorn the wood panelled walls and lush, soft furnishings, including thick curtains and sheepskin rugs, give the bedroom a welcoming and warm atmosphere.
The double bed, so inviting with its thick duvet and plump pillows, is positioned close to an additional sofa bed, perfect for families with young children. Beyond the bedroom, past a small fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, is the beautifully designed bathroom. It features a walk-in rain-style shower, where you can relax with complimentary Bamford toiletries, and features modern, Victorian-style fittings.
So, tuck the children up, climb into bed and watch a movie on the smart tv or simply enjoy the crackle of the log burner. Along with the thick curtains and additional heating, the burner ensures everyone gets a cosy, peaceful night's sleep. Alternatively, spend evenings under the stars and reflect on your day whilst seated on stylish wooden chairs in front of an outdoor fire, listening to the night calls of the wild, before falling into the comfort of the cabin.
The park itself offers a wealth of awesome experiences to suit everyone. Take it easy and wander through the landscaped grounds and maze, or take a spin in the buggy to meet some of the park's 700 animals. Perhaps you want to feed the animals? Or experience a night safari complete with night vision googles? Or maybe just kick back with a drink at the Treehouse Clubhouse. Exploring is made extremely easy thanks to the complimentary use of a buggy throughout your stay at the park
