Relax in the jacuzzi and enjoy the sound of the wind moving through the willow trees. Take it easy with a glass of wine while watching the peacocks and other birdlife that lives by the large pond that wraps around the edge of this three bedroom former-coachhouse.
Fishpond is an exceptional self-catering home that's close to the pretty Suffolk coast and is constructed of red brick and timber with an interior of exposed beams and wooden floors. High ceilings and a multitude of large windows create a bright and uplifting space while fittings, including a wood burner and unique artworks, ensure guests feel welcomed and cosy at all times.
Stepping into the spacious open-plan living and dining area, guests will be first struck with the large patio doors which provide lovely views and a calming backdrop to this neutrally-decorated space. A wood burner sits at the heart of the living area while a large hanging chair makes the perfect spot to curl up with a morning coffee and read a book or simply enjoy the scenery.
A large Ercol dining table and chairs overlooking the fish pond creates a lovely area to enjoy meals prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. During warmer months, visitors can take advantage of the large barbecue and outdoor dining furniture which sit on the large deck.
When it comes to bedtime there are three bedrooms, two king-sized and one twin room. The impressive master bedroom, situated off the living area, has a four poster bed and free-standing bath, while the ensuite shower room has a gushing rainfall walk-in shower. A further large family bathroom has a soaking bathtub. All bedrooms have calming views over the countryside and the property's rural location ensures a peaceful night's sleep.
Guests will be hard-pressed to leave this wonderful spot but the surrounding area boasts a host of experiences waiting to be discovered. For the traditional British seaside experience, head to nearby Southwold for its sandy beach, pretty pier and great pubs and restaurants. Beer lovers will want to tour the local Adnams brewery and foodies can stock up on supplies at the range of independent stores. Halesworth Golf Course is a short drive away and, as well as golfing, there are many places to enjoy sailing and fishing too. This pretty, and famously flat, region has a plenitude of lovely walks and cycle routes to be enjoyed by all.
