This beautiful cottage, in a quiet location overlooking Beauly Firth, was once a fisherman’s net drying house. It has been transformed into a cosy holiday home with spectacular views over the firth and out towards the mountains of Scotland’s West coast. The garden is perfectly positioned to take in the scenery and you might even spot a local school of Bottlenose Dolphins while you put your feet up in the sunshine.
The cottage has been beautifully renovated using the highest quality materials. Wooden floors and beams perfectly complement the contemporary style of the decor. There’s an open plan area with a living space, kitchen and dining area surrounding the centrally positioned fireplace. Light the wood-burning stove in the evenings and challenge each other to a board game or just sit back and watch the sunset over Beauly Firth.
There is a spacious double bedroom downstairs with a modern family bathroom next door. The bright and airy twin room is upstairs under the eaves. This is a fantastic room for the kids if you’re planning a family holiday as there’s also a sofa and another TV up here if they want a bit of their own space.
Outside, there’s an enclosed garden area, perfect for families with young children or if you want to bring the dog along. There’s also some outdoor furniture and a barbecue so you can take your meals outside when the sun is shining and enjoy that spectacular view.
There are plenty of beaches nearby or you could go for a dolphin cruise on the Moray Firth to get closer to some of the local marine life. There’s also a pony trekking centre and the Black Isle Wildlife Park nearby. There’s a pub, a local shop and a tea shop all within easy walking distance of the cottage in the village of North Kessock. Explore the beautiful Loch Ness, which is only 30 minutes away, and see if you can catch a glimpse of the famous monster. Inverness is just a 10-minute drive and home to plenty of restaurants and live music bars.
