Relax in this imaginatively converted chapel in the hamlet of Juniper, close to Hexham in Northumberland. In this rural setting you will find peace and quiet with the chapel and it's enclosed garden tucked away down a driveway, off a quiet road.
Inside you’ll find a spacious, open-plan kitchen/living room. The living room space has comfortable sofas and a wood-burning stove to keep the house warm on winter nights. There is also a flat-screen TV and DVD player. There is a dining area with six chairs, a very well equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine/drier.
In this high ceilinged chapel with its gothic arched windows, you can head upstairs to enjoy a comfortable night's sleep on the mezzanine which has a 5' bed. Adjacent is another spacious bedroom, with twin beds and a family bathroom. Downstairs, you’ll find the third bedroom, with twin beds and a shower room. Surrounding the house is an attractive, country garden with a table and chairs for dining al fresco, and even a BBQ too.
Locally you’ll find so much to see and do. On your doorstep is Hexham Abbey, plus many excellent pubs, cafes and restaurants for you to discover in this pretty, market town. Make sure you take a trip to Hadrian’s Wall, Durham Cathedral or Beamish Open Air Museum, plus National Trust properties Wallington Hall and Cragside are all fantastic days out. If you fancy some time in the great outdoors, why not walk, run or cycle the Northumberland Heritage Coast? Or, on sunny days relax on the golden, sandy beaches of Bamburgh, Dunstanburgh or Lindisfarne on Holy Island. For castles, Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Gardens are also well worth visiting, or take a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands to see seals and puffins in their natural habitat.
For wheelchair users we can supply wooden ramp up three shallow steps outside. There is then one step to be negotiated by foot into chapel. Downstairs all level with bedroom and loo/shower room downstairs, (with grasp handles in shower cubicle and by loo). One well behaved dog accepted at a charge of £25.
Numerous outdoor activities available at Slaley Hall, four miles away, and Go Ape tree adventures at Matfen Hall, ten miles away.
