The Details...

Adventure by day and stargaze by night at this peaceful barn in the lush Pembrokeshire countryside. Settled in the meadows of a flourishing Welsh farm, Ewebarn is a tranquil hideaway in a true paradise found. Wonder at the rolling hills and the ancient river valleys, or the secluded sandy beaches of West Wales wild, untouched coastline. Expect towering cliffs and massive skies to frame secret, little coves, while striking castles and pretty towns reveal its inner soul.

The historic stone barn has been expertly converted to blend its original farm character with the comforts of the homestead. Cosy, whitewashed rooms showcase timeless natural features and are finished with contemporary furnishings and country-coastal touches. Look out for the rugged stone walls and the soaring ceiling timbers, or the underfloor heating and shabby-chic furniture. A roaring log burner creates a warm and toasty ambience and is joined by scattered throws and Welsh woollen blankets.

A spacious open-plan living area is at the heart of the barn and is a comfy space for social gatherings. Enjoy bustling breakfasts around the traditional dining table, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and relaxing on the sink-in sofa. There are piles of books and games to keep you entertained, along with TV and WiFi for those cold, rainy days.

Patio doors lead out into your own private garden where youll find a picnic bench and BBQ terrace. Sit out here and listen to the sounds of Mother Nature, or open the gate and head out into the six acres. Meet the family Labrador and the mini flock of sheep, taking in the fresh, country air and bucolic scenes.

Back indoors, youll find three gorgeous bedrooms, including two stylish doubles and a snug ground floor twin. The master double is up in the rafters and is a soothing hideout guaranteeing a great night's sleep. The other two rooms share a decadent family bathroom, complete with fresh towels and an indulgent bath tub.

Beyond the tranquillity of the farm and Pen-ffordds winding village lanes a few miles away, there is plenty to keep young and old entertained. Walk along the coastal path or hike amongst the fields, building sandcastles on the beach or paddling in the sea. Both the north and south shores are around a 40minute drive, and are home to over 50 beaches and an array of quaint seaside towns. Tenby and Saundersfoot are well worth a visit, as is the quirky city of St Davids and beautiful Skomer Island. Inland, you can head to nearby Narberth, uncovering its gourmet treats and creative arts hub.
