You’ll never guess that this stylish holiday cabin was once a shipping container. The wonderfully unique property has been beautifully designed and decorated, with a rustic wooden aesthetic and modern interior. Nestled away in the glorious Ceredigion countryside of rural Wales, it’s perfect for an off-grid romantic getaway and includes the added luxury of an outdoor hot tub.
The cabin boasts a spacious open plan living and kitchen area, which is bathed in natural light by the floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which can be opened up fully in the warmer months. The living space has a comfy velvet sofa and a smart TV, ideal for cosying up and watching a movie or simply relaxing and taking in the stunning view. Towards the back of the room is the kitchen, which is well equipped with modern appliances and has plenty of workspace for you to prepare a delicious meal. You can eat inside or out on the patio if you fancied dining alfresco in the fresh country air.
You can retreat to the cosy bedroom when it’s time to unwind, where you’ll be sure to sleep like a baby in the dreamy double bed. And what better way to wake up than with the breathtaking view of the Cambrian mountains? There’s also a white-tiled bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC and washbasin.
Outside the property is equally impressive. The pretty patio with outdoor furniture is a great spot to eat breakfast or share a bottle of wine, and as the sun goes down why not light up the fire pit and toast some marshmallows? And of course, the hot tub awaits for guests to enjoy an indulgent soak with a bottle of bubbly.
Dyffryn Ceri is the perfect base from which to discover the picturesque county of Ceredigion and you’ll be spoilt for choice with things to do and see without having to venture too far, including some fantastic walks right from your doorstep. The charming seaside town of Aberaeron is a short drive away and is well worth visiting for its old streets lined with colourful houses and independent shops, and vibrant harbour full of excellent restaurants. The town sits on the Welsh Coastal Path, offering direct access to miles of unspoilt beaches. Ceredigion’s coast is also famous for wildlife and home to the Cardigan Bay bottlenose dolphins, which you might catch a sight of if you’re lucky.
