Close to the North Devon coast and its beautiful beaches is the expansive family escape of Crowborough Farm. Located in a valley on the edge of the peaceful village of Georgeham is this spacious and modern farmhouse.
Sleeping up to 14 guests, it's the perfect retreat for a group of family or friends. The social heart of the holiday home is the open plan living area. This combines a sitting area with comfy sofas, a large dining table with bench seating, and a fully equipped kitchen. A double-sided wood burning stove provides plenty of heat for those cosy nights in.
There are seven bedrooms throughout the property offering versatile options. The family bedroom has a four poster bed, while there are three doubles, two twins, and a further room with a sofa bed. These share three bathrooms on the first floor, while there is also a shower room in the utility room downstairs.
As impressive as the interior at Crowborough Farm is, the outside is equally delightful. There is a large lawned garden with outdoor table and chairs so that those staying can enjoy alfresco dining or a drink in the sunshine. Guests are also free to roam around the farmland surrounding the house in this private haven, while taking in the superb views to the coast, sea, and Lundy Island beyond. Also on-site is the magical quarry, which features a treehouse and children’s play area.
The location is also ideal, with the surfing beaches of Croyde, Saunton, Woolacombe, and Putsborough all within easy reach. Croyde is only a 20-minute walk away and also has plenty of independent shops and eateries.
The traditional village of Georgeham itself is also just a short stroll away and has a shop and two fantastic pubs, serving great food and offering a lovely atmosphere. Lying in a conservation area with cobbled streets, thatched cottages, and a medieval church, it really is an idyllic place to explore. For those who want to head inland instead then Exmoor and its array of spectacular walks is right on the doorstep as well.
