The Details...

Cortijo Juan Salvador is a serene, historic farmhouse and winery complete with authentic eighteenth century features and stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Tucked away in a private corner of Montes de Malaga Natural Park, the property offers two accommodations: La Higuera and El Almedro – available for rent together or individually. Both are surrounded by so much luscious nature that it is all too easy to forget that you are only thirty minutes away from numerous beaches and the bustling town of Malaga, which is packed full of charming restaurants, sleek bars and impressive shops.

The long eucalyptus tree lined driveway is beautiful and instantly calming, beginning your stay the right way. On top of this, on arrival at both houses all guests are treated to delicious complimentary tapas and a bottle of wine from the hosts, who are always eager to help with anything and everything you may need. The spacious outdoor terraces are irresistible locations for sunbathing or enjoying delectable food prepared by Chef David Palacios, who is available as frequently as you desire. You can also enjoy your own culinary wonders made from the freely available local farm produce. The houses both share a cosy private plunge pool and comfortable sun loungers. Outside of the courtyard gates is a vast expanse of nature beckoning exploration and adventure.

La Higuera:
This house is built on the original foundations of the farmhouse and boasts two outdoor terraces. Its impressive entrance hall and terracotta floors give the house a wonderfully authentic feel and the contemporary décor is truly stunning. It has the capacity to sleep up to eight people with two triple bedrooms and one double, all lavishly furnished. The two bathrooms are decorated in luxurious marble. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a barbeque which is perfect for outdoor meals. The living/dining area is extremely comfortable, complete with a large TV for cosy nights in

El Almendero:
This is the oldest building in this establishment with two hundred years of history within its walls. The thick stone walls have been lovingly restored and whitewashed giving the house a bright, cool feel – even in the hottest of summer heat! The living room has a gorgeous fireplace for you to enjoy and the kitchen is charming and well equipped. There are three double bedrooms, all with stunning views of the Montes de Malaga Natural Park. El Almendero also has a wonderful outdoor terrace which is fantastic for soaking up the Spanish sun. Or, for those who need a break from the heat, the living room is shaded by lush pines, keeping it cool and comfortable.

Out and about there is of course plenty to go at for those who want to get out and explore the area. The Mediterranean coast is just a short drive away whilst the cultural delights of Malaga, Granada and Cordoba are all possible day trips.
