Tucked away amongst pretty gardens, with its own private outdoor dining area, this characterful shepherds hut is perfect for those wanting to swap the hubbub of everyday life for some Somerset peace and tranquility.
Constructed from tin and oak by a local company who use traditional methods and materials, this cute and cosy hut can be found at the end of a lawned garden edged by pretty borders bursting with colourful flowers and plants. The hut is full of character, from the wooden floors and panelled walls and ceilings to the vintage-style radiator and doors. The colour schemes and furnishings have been chosen to perfectly complement each other and make you feel comfortable and instantly 'at home'.
Sitting on traditional iron wheels and painted a soft green to harmonise with the lush surroundings, you'll be instantly charmed by this snug hut and ready to climb the wooden steps to the front door.
Step inside and into the beautifully crafted kitchen area where solid oak counters sit on green cupboards beneath a kitchen window which gives views out over the fields beyond. The kitchen has all the conveniences you might need including an under-the-counter sink - one of several ingenious space-saving hacks which help enhance this compact space.
Lazy days can be spent relaxing at the oak table where oak framed benches provides ample seating. Light streams in through the window and makes the perfect spot for a leisurely breakfast spent gazing outside and planning the day ahead.
At night, the living area can be transformed into a good-sized double bed with crisp linens and a soft, warm duvet. A luxury mattress and peaceful surroundings ensure a good night's sleep is guaranteed for all.
The hut has its own smart en suite shower room with plenty of hot water, fluffy towels and a heated rail.
Outside you'll find an pretty outdoor dining area which comes with a large gas barbecue. The hut and its private outdoor space sit within the large and well-kept grounds of the Corner House guest house.
Situated down a quiet lane, where few cars venture, the hut feels off the beaten track but it is wonderfully located with many attractions just a short distance away. For those who love stately homes, there are many National Trust properties nearby including Montacute House and Barrington Court. Or, head to the coast for some wild swimming and sandcastle building. Lyme Regis, with its fossil beach and famous Cobb, is just a thirty minute drive away.
Lovers of good food won't be disappointed, the area boasts many great restaurants including Hive Beach Cafe at Burton Bradstock, The Olive Tree at Bridport and By The Bay at Lyme Regis.
