This marvellous collection of six stylish, self catering barns in the Cambridgeshire countryside offer a variety of options for your next rural retreat. You can choose between the different barns, which sleep between two and four people each.
Each barn has been superbly kitted out with fabulous modern furniture and fixtures. Each barn has striking design features, super comfy furnishings, and stylish artwork throughout. These properties make use of spacious, social living spaces, gorgeous freestanding bath tubs, big luxurious beds, and sliding doors that let the outside in. Guests of the Alice, Lily and Amba Barns can also hop in to their own private hot tub and enjoy a glass of bubbly as the sun begins to set - the perfect way to unwind after a day out exploring.
First up is Amba Barn, which sleeps four guests in two lovely bedrooms, one big double with a nice, luxury bath tub, and the other a comfy twin. This barn also features an open plan living space with a sofa and a chair, a nice dining area and a fully functional kitchen. Amba barn also comes with its own large private hot tub.
Annie Barn has an equally convenient living space, as well as two bedrooms that are also configured as a twin and a double. However, the real star of the show in this barn is the fantastic family bathroom that has a big rainfall shower and a huge freestanding bath that makes for a great place to enjoy a relaxing soak.
Marney Barn sleeps four in a twin and a double and has a nice bright and airy living space. This main living area has a comfy sofa, a rustic round dining table, and a modern kitchen. There is no bath tub in Marney, however, there is a spacious shower.
Alice Barn offers picturesque views of your surroundings via the big glass sliding doors. In summer, open these up and let the warm air in, or step outside and relax on the lawn. The round dining table sits next to the double doors making dinner times a joy, and the main living area is spacious, with two super comfy sofas. This barn sleeps four in two bedrooms, both of which are doubles. For added luxury, Alice barn also features its own private hot tub which sits beneath fruit trees in the garden and offers lovely country views.
Lily Barn comes with the additional Sheringham Shepherds Hut, and when both are booked together they can sleep six guests. The barn has two comfy double bedrooms - one of which features a freestanding bath tub and the shepherds hut sleeps two. There’s also a nice big living space with a large dining table that can comfortably seat six guests, as well as a fully functional kitchen, and a comfy seating area where you can sit with a glass of wine and socialise into the night with access to your own private hot tub.
The final living area on offer at Clopton Courtyard Barns is the Matilda Studio. This cosy bolthole for two offers couples a romantic spot for their next holiday. This studio barn has a cute dining area, a comfortable four poster king size bed, and a quaint kitchenette which has all you need to cook up a romantic meal for two. It also has a modern bathroom with a shower, WC and basin.
Whilst each barn can be booked separately, they can also be booked together for big group getaways at weekends. When booked together the barns can cater for 12-24 guests.
The barns sit in the countryside near the superb city of Cambridge. This means you are never stuck for things to do. Guests are encouraged to go punting on the river, or visit one of the many delightful historical sights that this amazing city has to offer. 100% recommend staying here! Cathy was just lovely and so helpful, and made our wait and disruption to our stay (due to pandemic) stress free and accommodated our many date requests. The space itself is just gorgeous, an ideal countryside experience with stunning decor! (and even within a storm, was cosy and warm!) We had everything we needed in the accommodations, shared between Alice and Lily, both lovely. Alice being slightly bigger, this was where we held our group gatherings. Local experiences shared on the website were super helpful. We loved the Gin Tasting @ 101 Green St, local farm shop goods, and had a lovely afternoon in the beautiful Wood Grill at The Queen Adelaide. We’d love to book again, maybe for a wedding next time! Thank you Cathy.

Definitely recommend staying here. We stayed in Annie barn and was so happy from start to finish. The rooms in the barn were lovely, we especially loved the free standing bath and the bed frame in the main bedroom. We had everything we could have possibly needed for our stay. Cathy was so helpful with any questions we had too. Will definitely be returning.
