With views over the stunning Yorkshire hills, luxurious and stylish decor and charming touches like free-standing baths, an inglenook fireplace and underfloor heating, Cliffe Hill Cottage makes a wonderful rural retreat for a group of six.
Cliffe Hill Cottage is a an attractive 19th-century farmhouse building that has been lovingly restored and decorated to the highest standards. As you approach through the pretty front garden you'll enter a lobby where you can kick off your shoes and immediately feel the underfloor heating, which features throughout, warming your toes. A handy cloakroom offers space to hang up coats or keep muddy boots. You'll also find a W.C., basin and washing machine.
The hall opens out into a beautifully-designed living and dining space with a TV, sumptuous sofas and arm chairs and a majestic stone inglenook with cosy log burner, perfect for getting toasty and warm after a walk across the hills. You'll also find a reading nook here, so you can settle in with your favourite book, looking up only to enjoy far-reaching views across the gardens to the countryside.
A custom-built dining table offers plenty of space to enjoy an evening evening meal and French doors open out onto a back garden, with a patio, outdoor seating and BBQ.
The kitchen, off the living space, is beautifully crafted with everything you could need to whip up evening meals including an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, as well as an island with bar stools.
On the first floor you'll find two beautiful bedroom suites, all with comfortable beds dressed in soft linens and throws. The Garden Suite has a super-king size bed with wonderful views from the stone mullioned window, a smart TV and a handy ensuite bathroom, offering a walk-in shower, W.C., vanity basin and underfloor heating. The Oh La La Suite is decorated in luxurious French style, with a TV, chair and double bed and yet more wonderful views.
The spacious main bathroom, also located on this floor, offers a walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak with views across the fields. It also features a W.C. and hand basin.
Up on the second floor you'll find the Suite of Stars, which features huge Velux windows for star gazing, a comfy double bed and a freestanding bathtub. This floor also features a workspace with a desk and chair for anyone who needs to catch up on some emails during their stay.
Cliffe Hill Cottage has many wonderful walks and cycling routes from the doorstep and the stunning Peak District National Park is 15 miles away. The village of Holmfirth (where the sitcom Last of the Summer Wine was filmed) is 6.5 miles away. There are also many great pubs and restaurants within a short drive.
