The detail
This lovely seaside home from home has been lovingly decorated throughout and is only a short walk from the beautiful Camber Sands beach. It's a perfect bolthole for a family of six or a group of friends wanting a proper seaside holiday.
The interior is both spacious and light and has been decorated with the seaside in mind. The walls are pale and calm with blue accents in the furniture and soft furnishings. Pale wood and big cream linen sofas give the place a lovely summery vibe and the framed prints of the seaside and other ornamentation reflecting the area are charming and cheerful.
The ground floor has a large kitchen which is fully equipped and a dining area with a table that comfortably sits six for breakfast or a long lazy supper with plenty of local seafood and wine. Double doors allow the sun to flood in and open up to a lovely decked, secure garden. Here you'll find another six seater table and a BBQ for al fresco dining and rattan furniture where you can laze under the stars with the sea air for company.
Across the hall is a light and airy sitting room with a large flat screen TV with freeview, a gas fire and big squishy sofas for cosy movie nights when the weather isn't optimal. The hosts have also thoughtfully provided board games, DVD's and books for your entertainment. The cottage manages to be homely without feeling like it's someone else's home.
On the first floor you'll find three bedrooms. The master has a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in shower. The second room has two singles and the third a double bed. As with the rest of the house all of the bedrooms are light and immaculate with little nods towards the seaside in the colours, soft furnishings and art. There's also a family bathroom with a bath and shower, a basin and a WC.
Camber Beach House is just a short walk from Camber Sands. This wide, sandy beach is several miles long, very beautiful at sunset and an ideal place for flying kites, making sand castles and spending a relaxing day reading a paperback in a deckchair! This wide open space is popular with windsurfers, bathers and horse riders and there is a network of footpaths and cycle routes criss-crossing the nearby wildlife reservation.
Nearby Rye is a must visit with its rich and colourful past, cobbled streets, enchanting church with spectacular views, beautifully preserved buildings and a long history of piracy! If you fancy a meal out or a good cold pint, try The Owl which comes highly recommended.
