Located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, near to the Lake District, this is a fantastic spot from which to explore some of the UK’s most picturesque areas.
The house itself has been recently renovated to an extremely high standard by former Soho architect Georgina Rose. This means that it boasts super-stylish interiors, calming colour schemes, and carefully, hand picked furnishings. As you enter, you’re presented with the welcoming entrance hall, which has a pretty stone flagged floor. Each room then flows nicely into the other, whilst still remaining separate spaces where you can relax and unwind in peace.
The spacious sitting room is wonderfully comfy, and is filled with natural light thanks to large windows. You have nice big sofas where you can get cosy in front of the log burner and socialise with your loved ones as you take in the amazing views of the Howgill Fells, or simply sit and enjoy a movie night in front of the TV.
The big, grand dining room is perfect for gathering and enjoying social meals together as a group. This room features a large, pretty dining table and has yet more stunning views. The kitchen, which comes off the dining room, is one of the most beautiful spaces in the entire home, with a wonderful range cooker, large island and everything you need to cook up a delicious meal for your loved ones. There’s even a window seat with pretty views out to the garden, so you can sit and keep the designated chef company. You can also arrange to have the fridges pre-stocked with local produce, beers and wine, whilst private chefs can be hired too!
There are four delightful bedrooms, all of which have nice, comfortable king sized beds and pretty furniture. Two of the rooms also have their own en suite bathrooms with large walk-in showers for added privacy.
When you step outside into the fresh country air, you’ve got a pretty garden where you can enjoy the sunshine on hot summer days. There’s also a BBQ and plenty of outdoor seating space so you can prepare meals al fresco during the warmer months and enjoy a meal and a nice drink outside.
Situated as you are in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with good access to the Lake District and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you have unlimited access to some of the UK’s most amazing walking routes. Be sure to pack your hiking boots and venture out to explore. You can also take your bikes and cycle the sleepy country lanes, or enjoy a bracing plunge in one of the many local wild swimming spots. Lovers of train trips will definitely want to jump on the wonderfully scenic Carlisle to Settle railway too!
