Explore the beautiful South Hams from the luxury of this lovely property. The one hundred-year-old Georgian cottage is full of character with many original features, including wooden sash windows, and also boasts an abundance of natural light.
Guests start the day in one of two handsome bedrooms. Both are a good size with calming views over the surrounding countryside. A king sized bed, which can be converted to twin beds, can be found in the master while the second bedroom has a double. Crisp white linens cover the comfy mattresses and the quiet location and relaxing ambience guarantee great sleep.
Head down to the well-equipped kitchen where a coffee machine makes short work of the caffeine fix and has all guests might require for a lovely breakfast, whether heating croissants in the oven or taking out the frying pan for the traditional full English.
A bright breakfast room will surely see breakfasts run to brunches and beyond as visitors struggle to tear themselves away. The wooden table seats six and looks out, through patio doors, to the pretty garden beyond. A couple of comfy armchairs are well positioned for enjoying a post breakfast cuppa in the sunshine. Relax and plan the day while taking in the lovely environment.
Out on the private sun terrace guests find a wooden outdoor dining set which makes a great spot for enjoying an evening glass of wine while listening to the birdsong as the sun goes down. Should the weather become chilly, head inside. The cosy living room is filled with comfy upholstered armchairs and a three-seater velvet sofa, and an ottoman, whist well-filled bookshelves span an entire wall. A large dual aspect sash window provides views outside to the garden. This is a lovely room for relaxing - whether choosing a holiday read, playing cards or watching a movie on the television which sits on a handsome antique oak chest.
Bowden Croft is located in the magical South Hams area of Devon. The area is secluded and peaceful but pretty Dartmouth is just a few miles away.
