This charming, spacious shepherd’s hut is perfect for a romantic, rural retreat. Nestled in nature and surrounded by beautiful countryside, you can enjoy long, lazy days and peaceful, relaxing evenings, whether you’re chilling out on your secluded deck, soaking in the jacuzzi or sipping your favourite drink as you watch the sun set behind the distant hills. With contemporary décor, high-end furnishings and plenty of space for two, you’ll find everything you need to make your stay at Blue Hut one to remember.
Ascending the wooden steps to the front door of this 24ft long, peaceful abode, you’ll be surprised by how large a hut can feel. At its heart you’ll find the welcoming living space with a well equipped kitchen and relaxing seating area. Here you can rustle up a delicious feast, sip a pre-dinner drink at the breakfast bar or snuggle up in the comfy chairs to watch your favourite show on the smart TV.
The separate bedroom boasts a double bed with a memory foam-topped mattress and luxurious Egyptian cotton bedding, so you’ll be comfortable and cosy as the sounds of nature gently lull you to sleep.
The luxurious bathroom has a beautiful marble sink, composting toilet and a shower big enough for two. Complimentary toiletries from Neal’s Yard and Faith in Nature complete the lavish feel.
Stepping outside, you’ll discover your secluded, private paddock and deck, a tranquil setting where you can immerse yourself in nature and appreciate the spellbinding views that surround you. With a large, fire-fuelled hot tub, wooden picnic table, relaxing beanbags and warming fire pit, every eventuality has been covered.
Blue Hut is located in the glorious Blackmore Vale, with its charming villages, farmed green fields and winding country lanes. Bikes are available for exploring the area or head out on foot to venture along one of the many walking routes. If you want to go further afield, you’ll be spoilt for choice. The ancient town of Shaftesbury with its charming cobbled streets, the historic town of Sherborne with its medieval buildings and Stourhead, a beautiful National Trust property, are all within an easy drive.

Leave a reviewBeautiful large shepherds hut , hand built by owners to a very high standard with interior décor to match. Really nice welcome pack much appreciated. Peaceful location with wonderful views, with large woodfired hot tub. Excellent hosts. Highly recommend. We visited RSPB Ham Wall saw bitterns, Cranes and lots of Marsh Harriers. Also visited Haynes Motor Museum. Local eats -The ship inn food was very tasty and they also open on Mondays/Tuesday. Thank you for a lovely stay, Jayne.

Our stay at the Blue Hut was absolutely amazing! I surprised my partner for his birthday, and Jayne was kind enough to put some balloons up and provide a birthday cake on arrival. Jayne was so friendly and helpful before and throughout our stay! The Hut was very clean, comfortable and had everything we could’ve possibly needed, the Prosecco and S’mores kit was a lovely touch also. I would definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing stay!

Wow. Where do we begin! What an amazing place. The shepherds hut was incredible, such a high standard, everything you needed (and more) and some lovely luxury touches. Jayne & David where so friendly and kind. The views were gorgeous and the hot tub just perfect. Highly recommend and will definitely be back to enjoy in the summer!
