Blossom Orchard’s luxury yurts come equipped with everything you could need for a magical break for two in the Somerset countryside. Set in a peaceful, private apple orchard with alpacas grazing close by, the yurts come equipped with comfortable king-sized beds, wood-burning stoves and firepits.
At Blossom Orchard you’ll find a wonderfully tranquil setting. Barn Owl Yurt and Woodpecker Yurt are set on a 10 acre smallholding in the village of Wearne, Somerset. The yurts are privately positioned within an apple orchard with over 300 native apple trees, surrounded by alpaca paddocks, wildflower meadows and free range chickens.
Step inside a spacious yurt and you’ll feel instantly at home. Sink into a sumptuous king-sized bed, finished in pastel-hued fabrics and covered with luxurious bedding, throws and cushions. An extra bed for a child or a travel cot are available for a small extra charge. Make a cuppa with the tea and coffee making facilities or curl up with a book on a lounge chair around the wood-burning stove.
If you prefer to spend your evenings outdoors, stoke up the firepit and sit and tell stories around the fire, stargaze and toast marshmallows in cosy warmth.
Just a short walk from the yurts is a communal area in a gorgeously converted stone barn. Here you’ll find comfortable lounge seating, a kitchen, shower room and WCs.
The kitchen comes well equipped with an oven, sink and microwave. At the centre of this area, a dining table provides space for four. A comfy leather sofa is placed to the side, providing extra space for reading, relaxing or socialising with other guests. Here, you’ll also find the lovely modern and immaculately clean WCs and shower room, complete with boutique luxuries such as candles and toiletries.
There's plenty to explore in the beautiful surrounding countryside. A couple of miles away, in the heart of the Somerset Levels, on the banks of the River Parrett, is the pretty, ancient market town of Langport with its independent shops, craft workshops and vibrant cafes. There’s an abundance of walking and cycle routes from the doorstep of your yurt. The nearby river provides opportunities for paddle boarding and there are some fantastic local pubs within a short drive.

Leave a reviewWe loved Blossom Orchard. It was a wonderful way to reconnect with the outdoors. Set in tranquil surroundings, our yurt ‘ Barn Owl’ was beautifully furnished and equipped to a high standard. It was perfect. The hosts were very warm and accommodating. We will definitely be back again.
