If you are looking to escape to the countryside, but want to sleep in something more comfortable than a tent, these simple, yet finely appointed shepherds huts could be just the thing for you.
With a choice of three separate shepherds huts to choose from, you will be located just four short miles away from the stunning Northumberland coastline, and close to the Northumberland National Park. Nestled away in a charming rural location, these immaculate shepherds huts are the perfect base to explore one of the UK’s most scenic regions.
The Foxglove is a very special hut, designed with the needs of the mobility impaired in mind. Quaint but perfectly formed, the hut offers a king size bed and full size single bunk beds, making it just right for up to four lucky visitors.
This hut also features a dainty galley-style kitchen compete with an electric two ring hob, a microwave combination oven, under-counter fridge, toaster and kettle, and a DAB radio. There is also an extendable dining table for enjoying a quick cuppa, and the bunk beds convert into seats for use during the day. Just off the kitchen is a bathroom with electric shower, basin and WC. The large raised deck with ramp access is also perfect for enjoying warm summer evenings.
The Teasel is a great place for spontaneous and impulsive adventurers, or those just looking to escape from the real world for a long weekend or two.
Again, this hut is beautifully appointed and offers a king size bed, and more of those clever fold away, full size bunk beds. The galley kitchen has a proper country kitchen feel and comes complete with an electric two ring hob, a microwave combination oven, under-counter fridge, toaster, kettle, and a DAB radio. Just off the kitchen is a bathroom with electric shower, basin and WC.
Cow Parsley is as lovingly crafted as the other huts, and makes clever use of space with one 4'6" double bed with a full size single bunk bed above, as well as seating which converts to another single bed when required. Packed full of creative storage solutions and made to measure furniture, Cow Parsley offers all the freedom of glamping combined with the luxury of a top class country cottage.
The quaint galley kitchen area comes complete with a larder, an electric two ring hob, a microwave combination oven, under-counter fridge, toaster, kettle, and a DAB radio, while the breakfast bar dining space is perfect for a quick bite before heading out to explore. Just off the kitchen is a bathroom with electric shower, basin and WC.
All three huts are great whatever the weather, with electric tubular heating and an electric ‘real flame effect’ stove to keep you all warm and cosy during your stay.
On site there is also a cute retro caravan called Colin that can be hired for younger members of the family to enjoy. Colin is a fun-filled den by day, and offers separate sleeping capacity at night, perfect for kids who have inherited a sense of freedom and adventure from glamping-happy grown ups.
Satellite Wi-Fi is available in all of the huts, but being so close to nature and the stunning Northumberland coastline, you're encouraged to shut the phone off and enjoy the goat outdoors with your nearest and dearest in these beautiful shepherds huts.
