  The Detail...

Tucked away in the Norfolk countryside with uninterrupted views over the sea and the Cley Marshes, this stunning barn conversion makes for an impressive getaway. The beautiful 18th-century barn has been lovingly restored and converted into a spacious holiday home which sleeps up to sixteen. Situated on private farmland, Barn Drift also enjoys three south-facing walled gardens, ideal for everything from a relaxed lunch in the sunshine to a wedding.

The barn is a tasteful combination of original period features and modern conveniences. The striking open-plan kitchen and dining area features modern appliances with a backdrop of exposed brick walls in traditional Norfolk style. The kitchen island is the perfect spot to tuck into some breakfast and the dining table has plenty of room for everybody. If you fancy a quiet moment to yourself, a charming window seat overlooks the gardens and is a great place to curl up with a book. Head through to the spacious sitting room and youll find comfy sofas, armchairs and a wood-burning stove. Beautiful French windows open out onto the gardens from both the kitchen and the sitting room.

The back door accesses the house via the lower floor which features a large boot room, perfect for storing all of your walking and beach gear. There are also two bedrooms on this level, both of which have ensuite bathrooms. Upstairs, on the first floor, there are a further two bedrooms and one even features a free-standing bathtub. The other has a small balcony from which you can enjoy the spectacular views. At the top of the house, youll find another three bedrooms and two bathrooms, cosily furnished and full of character with exposed beams and brick. The final bedroom can be found in The Old Cart Shed, a beautifully furnished ensuite room with French doors overlooking one of the walled gardens.

Theres lots to do without even leaving the grounds. Explore the gardens or relax on the terrace with a book and a cup of coffee. Youll find garden furniture to cater for everyone, a BBQ and a fire pit to keep you warm on chilly evenings. The surrounding landscape provides opportunities for plenty of adventures. There are lots of walking routes through the countryside and along the coast where you can make the most of the spectacular views and get in touch with nature. The village of Cley is nearby with delightful delis and even a smokehouse serving up some delicious local produce.
