An idyllic location for any family holiday, Baragwainaith is is situated just outside the marvellous town of St Ives. Surrounded by the greenery of the Cornwall countryside, this quaint cottage has instant charm, with grey stone walls, romantic French doors and a traditional wooden gate. Inside, the space is cosy no matter the weather, with soft throws, plush armchairs and even a wood burner.
Entering through the front door brings you through to the kitchen, which is the beating heart of the home. Offering a slice of rural life, its traditional beams, handmade wooden cupboards and sturdy granite surfaces create a rustic feel. This space is accompanied by modern appliances for a stress-free retreat, including a full-sized dishwasher, LG washer dryer, fan oven, halogen hob and large fridge freezer.
From the kitchen, step into the spacious, family-oriented lounge, hosting a wood burner, two sofas and an armchair for endless cosiness. After a day spent frolicking on one of Cornwall’s many beaches, enjoy a film night on the 39-inch smart TV, complete with a blu-ray DVD player and a Playstation 2.
Spilling in through three sets of French doors, the master bedroom welcomes in the stunning natural light, boasting access to a terrace with picturesque views of the private garden. The comfortable king size bed is lined with an orthopaedic mattress and fresh linens, promising an uninterrupted night of rest, with the ensuite bathroom including a luxurious power shower, toilet and hand basin.
Just across the hall lies the twin bedroom, complete with two single beds and an extra two pull-out trundle beds. This room has books, games and even a rocking chair, perfect for reading bedtime stories to the little ones. Sandwiched between the two bedrooms lies the main bathroom, complete with a shower over a full-sized bathtub, a sink and a toilet.
Famous for its golden surf beaches and extensive art scene, St Ives has it all. For a spot of culture, pop down to the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, Tate St Ives or Porthminster Gallery. Likewise, the Leach Pottery Museum, complete with a gallery, studio and shop, has been open to the public since 1920, a must-visit for pottery enthusiasts. The harbour is the main, bustling hub of this Cornish gem, the perfect location for watching the fishermen pass by in their colourful boats. And if you’d like to take a dip in the sea or even try your hand at surfing, Porthmeor Beach is a St Ives essential. You can learn the ropes at St Ives Surf School.
