Tucked away on a tranquil corner of the splendid Symondsbury Estate in Dorset, Axen Lodge is a four bedroom brick and tile detached house occupying an enviably secluded position and offering high-end self-catering accommodation to up to eight guests. Boasting a hot tub, barbecue, and even a private one bedroom, one bathroom log cabin in the grounds, Axen Lodge is the perfect solution for larger groups of family, friends or wedding guests looking to stay in style in one of the loveliest regions of Dorset.
Everything about this splendid and historic house subtly suggests a no compromise approach to accommodation. Ideal for families with younger children, it offers its own trampoline and substantial outdoor space. The kitchen/dining space comes with a full sized range, and everything you’ll need to prepare three square meals a day to up to eight hungry travellers. The sitting room is the perfect place to relax after dinner, reclining on comfortable furniture and watching a DVD or simply sitting around the log burner and catching up. There is also a snug with its own television, which is the ideal place to get some work done while the others ramble. The upstairs contains the first three bedrooms, one double room and two further bedrooms with zip and link beds which can be made up as twin singles or a single double.
Outside, a combination of judicious landscaping and rugged countryside make for delightful views, throughout the day and throughout the year. The gas barbecue is on a raised decking, and there is an abundance of outdoor furniture, as well as the hot tub and trampoline.
