Award winning eco-tent in West Wales, with wood-burning stove, brilliant amenities, and a fantastic location in some breathtaking countryside.
The Alachigh is listed in affiliation with Quality Unearthed.
The Alachigh is a beautiful tent set on a twenty acre smallholding in the middle of some charming woodland in Carmathenshire, west Wales. With extraordinary views over the Welsh countryside and a cosy, comfy interior, this is the perfect glamping option for small families, couples, and groups of friends looking to spend time in the beauty and atmosphere of the Welsh countryside and coast.
The Alachigh is inspired by the nomadic Shahsavan tribe, and sleeps six in a light and airy tent with timber furniture and flooring to create a comfortable space which is popular with families. The structure has an eight meter diameter, making it nice and spacious. The interior has been judiciously furnished with an oak breakfast bar, a mesh-protected central wood-burning stove, and four single beds as well as a double, in addition to ample rugs, cushions and a sofa. With a timber chest for storage and a gas hob, the Alachigh truly has everything you need for a magical time away with friends or family. The colourful throws, and soft lighting in the tent works well to create a warming and laid-back atmosphere.
When you step outside you can enjoy your own delightful slice of Welsh countryside. Be sure to relax and unwind whilst enjoying panoramic views and the calming sounds of the birds and surrounding nature. There's also a spot where you can cook up a storm on the BBQ or sit and read a book on the outdoor furniture.
There are a number of other small dwellings on site that are also available to hire. These include tents and yurts and vary in size and layout.
The site itself is magical, safe and utterly beguiling, making use of stepping stones, fairy lights and natural clearings to create a space you’ll be reluctant to leave. Within close distance via car are the sandy beaches and unspoiled gems of two bays, Cardigan and Carmarthen, while the surrounding region is a trove of countryside, amazing views, small settlements and quaint shops.
