The detail

Breathe in the fresh country air of the rolling hills as you approach the stunning High Needham Barn. Originally part of the Chatsworth Estate, the building has been beautifully converted by the owners, who have gone to great lengths to make this a truly luxurious holiday home in every sense.

Set in a quiet location, along a pretty country road, High Needham Barn is a welcome sight for weary travellers. Located within 90 minutes drive of Manchester and Nottingham and an hour away from Sheffield, Hawksemoor Barn is close enough to be accessible, yet remote enough to offer you and your guests a real break from reality.

Enter through the traditional front door, and drop your bags in the generous hallway as you head through to explore this gorgeous home from home. The lounge area is perfectly designed, with three comfortable sofas, offering plenty of space for six guests to relax in whilst watching the Smart TV. An opulent fabric ottoman sits infant of a log burning fire set within an impressive stone hearth. In the evenings, retire to the dining area, with its grand table and chairs, as you enjoy the intimate atmosphere of this still spacious room.

The traditional country kitchen is, as you would expect, highly appointed and offers everything you could need during your visit. With shaker style cabinets and solid marble worktops, no expense has been spared to provide a beautiful and practical space for you all to enjoy. Spread the Sunday papers out over the shabby chic wooden table, and enjoy a lazy breakfast, sat back in chairs reminiscent of the Lloyds Loom era. You can even enjoy your favourite music via the bluetooth system ready to entertain you in both the kitchen and the master bedroom.

After a long day enjoying the great outdoors, you and your guests will be sure to sleep well in either of the attractive bedrooms. The master, with its vaulted ceiling and amazing views over the surrounding countryside is spacious and comfortable, with a king size bed, a chaise long and pretty furniture. The picture perfect decor adds an air of opulence throughout. But, head on through to the grand en-suite bathroom and you will really appreciate the quality of the accommodation on offer. With his and hers sinks, a deep bath and a separate shower, you could want for nothing in this very large bathroom.

The second bedroom is equally as stylish as the master and has a king size bed which can be converted into two twin beds, plus its own en suite bathroom. Wherever you choose to lay your head, luxury is the name of the game in both bedrooms at High Needham Barn. There is also another delightful family bathroom, with a bath and a shower, perfectly thought out and well decorated as you would expect. Rest your weary bones in the beautiful bathtub with views over the rolling hills, right outside your window.

High Needham Barn offers its own beautifully maintained gardens perfect for a BBQ on the patio on a sunny afternoon. The garden is large, enclosed and dog friendly.

Set in the superb scenery of the Peak District, there is plenty to see and do during your break. Whether you are visiting the area to spend time walking or cycling through the hills, or to trek the Tissington Trail by pony, you will not be disappointed by peaceful tranquility of the surrounding countryside.

If you wish, you could take a step back in time as you saunter through the pretty villages of Hartington or Tissington, or spread your wings further afield to explore Buxton with its world famous Opera House or to Ashbourne with its historic buildings and independent shops.

Whatever you chose to do during your visit to the Peak District, High Needham Barn is the perfect base to relax in splendour whilst you make your plans for the days ahead.
