  The Detail...

3 The Old School House is a holiday home that offers an unrivalled seaside location, with delightful coastal views, and a stylish interior. Sleeping up to six guests, in three lovely bedrooms, this holiday home is ideal for small groups of friends, three couples, or family holidays.

This building dates back to the 16th Century and was originally constructed on the waters edge to be used in the growing Cornish pilchard trade. However, in the 17th Century, the property was converted into a school, which is how it stayed right up until the mid 20th Century. The building has now been restored and transformed into a super-comfy holiday home.

The interior is uber-stylish, thanks to exposed stone walls gorgeous wooden floors, and those all-important, stunning views of the beach. The comfy lounge features sink-in sofas, whilst original artwork hangs on the walls across the whole property, and reclaimed antique furniture is used throughout.

You can enjoy your morning coffee whilst gazing out at the sea from the comfy window seat, or spend your evening with a glass of wine socialising in the spacious lounge. The designated chef will find the nicely equipped kitchen a joy to cook in thanks to its modern appliances, ample surface space, and stylish island. The kitchen has an electric oven, a grill and hob, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Theres also a nice dining table that can comfortably sleep your entire group, which offers a great spot to enjoy meals whilst taking in the view.

The three bedrooms are all nicely decorated, and each room has a comfy super-king sized bed. The master bedroom also has its own en suite shower room for added privacy. It also has underfloor heating and a balcony with sea views and a cute table and chairs where you can sit with your morning cuppa. The other two bedrooms feature beds that can also be split into two singles, allowing for more versatility for different types of group. One of these rooms also has an en suite shower room for added convenience.

The stylish family bathroom, which sits on the first floor, has a gorgeous handmade copper and nickel bath. This is the perfect place for a luxurious soak after a day on the beach. The room also has a big rainfall shower, a hand basin and a WC, as well as underfloor heating. Theres also a beach level shower room for cleaning off the sand after a day on the beach.

If you step outside, the property has direct access to the beach as well as access to a shared walled garden with a table and benches. This is a nice spot to enjoy some al fresco dining, or some sundowners before retiring inside.

Located in the quaint Cornish village of Cawsand, not far from the Devon border, this holiday home offers great access to the south coast of Cornwall and Devon. Cawsand itself has a nice beach where you can spend your days swimming or playing in the sand, whilst if you head out a bit further theres a number of other beaches, and scenic coastal walks on offer. The area is also home to some nice restaurants, quaint cafes, and some cracking seaside pubs.
