  The Detail...

This gorgeous and luxurious hotel is set in secluded grounds on Dartmoor in the beautiful county of Devon. Glazebrook House is a boutique hotel with nine uniquely stunning rooms. The Georgian house located in South Brent is brimming with vintage and British revival decor put together by interior designer Timothy Oulton.

Each of the nine rooms is filled with handcrafted furniture, has an en-suite bathroom, and their own theme. There are six double bedrooms. The White Rabbit has views across the gardens, a king size bed, and en-suite with freestanding bath and spacious walk-in shower. The March Hare is a tranquil room with views across the wooded garden, while the Jabberwocky has brushed-steel aircraft engine mirrors above the bed.

Moving on there are the Mad Hatter and Caterpillar double rooms, while the luxury Cheshire Cat comes complete with a chaise lounge and twin shower. On the ground floor is the Bread & Butterflies, which is wheelchair accessible and has fantastic views of the garden. There is a twin room called Tweedle Deez with its two four-poster beds and finally the Gryphon - a single room with handmade bed and airplane propellor hanging from the ceiling.

All of the room rates include breakfast, which is served in the award-winning restaurant. Run by executive chef Ben Palmer and head chef Josh Ackland, it serves up an eclectic range of dishes using local and seasonal produce sourced from within a 50-mile radius of Glazebrook House.

With spectacular coastline and rolling countryside right on your doorstep, it really is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The Glazebrook Walk starts at the hotel and takes in the beauty of Ladys Wood as well as passing under the historic viaduct built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Then there is Dartmoor National Park; this vast moorland is perfect for hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, and much more.

Alternatively, guests could head into the pretty towns and villages of South Devon. Modbury is an historic market town set in a rural location, Kingsbridge is a beautiful coastal town with a variety of independent shops, while Salcombe, and its truly amazing outlook over the creek, is one of the most desirable locations in the country.
