Sitting atop a ridge in the breathtaking Piedmont countryside sits Villa Giarvino. This gorgeous guesthouse is on its own estate in Montferrat, a Unesco World Heritage Site. The spectacular scenery is coupled with the rich history and culture of the area - all against the backdrop of the far off Alps - to provide the perfect tranquil escape for its guests. Ideal for couples, singles, or groups, Villa Giarvino offers its own little slice of paradise to those who want to experience the real side of Piedmont.
The guesthouse itself is a traditional Italian villa, nestled in between its own vineyards and a fruit grove (which you are welcome to explore). Surrounded by a large garden and spacious terrace, the exterior provides the perfect vantage point to survey the sprawling views of the picturesque Montferrat countryside.
You will have the choice to book out the entire villa for your group, or you can reserve rooms individually. Villa Giarvino offers eight different rooms: four double rooms, with either one double bed or two singles; three junior suites, each with their own double bed, bathrooms, and a couple with separate living rooms; and the spacious suite, with double bed, separate living room with sofa bed, and small kitchen. Each room includes a Bose sound system, WiFi, and a bathrobe and slippers to ensure each guest's maximum comfort.
A welcome aperitif with wine and local specialties is provided upon arrival and dining options are also available. For groups of eight or more, Giarvino will arrange for the finest chefs in the region to cook you and your fellow guests a sumptuous multi-course meal. If you would prefer something more casual then you can dine on pizza in the garden, fresh from the on-site pizza oven.
Montferrat is located in the southeast of Piedmont, northern Italy. Considered to be the heartland of the Piedmont region, it is traditionally known as one of Italy's most important wine producing regions and is a designated UNESCO world heritage site. Villa Giarvino itself lies close to the town of Acqui Terme, a Roman settlement famous for its hot springs. This dreamy little Italian gem is ideal for a day of shopping in the lively centre, dining in one of its many restaurants, or visiting one of its two weekly markets. Further to the north you will find the historic city of Alessandria. Its wonderful architecture and many museums make it the perfect cultural excursion. Alba, Asti or Barolo are other well known spots in Piedmont, each within an hours drive.
Giarvino is a place of relaxation, experiences and encounters with like-minded people. This is why we arrange various theme days. For example, on the topics of wine, truffle hunting, active discovery of the region, singing, culture and cuisine. You can experience Piedmont up close and learn a lot of interesting facts.
