Take yourself to another World at this tranquil lakeside cabin in the rural coastal hamlet of Anderby Creek. Tucked up amongst the wild grassland landscape, and just moments from the vast golden sand dunes, the Twentysix cabin is ideal for a wholesome and nostalgic seaside break where romantic beach walks or sandcastles await.
Twentysix is an ‘Anderby Chalet’ - a Modernist classic - which was launched by Vic Hallam in 1959. In 2010 the timber frame building was completely refurbished under the guidance of an award winning architect. It combines modernity, quiet design and a comfortable seaside feel.
This delightful wood cabin is a modern beach house classic which has a subtle seaside feel. It is adorned with an array of calming neutral colours and vibrant dashes of sea green and blue. Stylish furnishings are joined by a traditional wood burning stove in the open plan living area where patio doors open directly onto the pretty, lakeside garden. A modern kitchen and dining area can also be found here, and are well-equipped for enjoying some of the fresh, local farm-shop cuisine.
Adjoining the main living space are the cabin’s two cosy bedrooms where tasteful furnishings are matched with a stylish design. A double bed can be found in the main room, dressed with crisp white sheets and a luxurious duvet, while a separate bunk bed room provides space for an additional three.
Outside, the cabin looks perfectly at one with its natural setting and is surrounded by lush greenery and interesting and varied wildlife. Situated in a quiet crescent with similar wood cabins in the neighbourhood, it is still intimately private and offers its own unique lakeside view from its seaside deckchairs and al fresco dining area. From here, you can breathe in the fresh country air before listening to the sounds of the sea on the shore.
The village of Anderby Creek is part of Lincolnshire’s Coastal Grazing Marsh and is a place of extreme natural beauty which is wonderfully untouched. Wild grassland areas can be found hugging the wide sandy beaches while unspoilt nature reserves home some of the most exquisite birds around. The golden sands of Anderby Creek are known for being some of the best in Europe and are a seemingly never-ending delight for both kids and adults alike. Historic villages, ancient buildings and quaint farm shops can also be found dotted around the area and offer a glimpse into a romantic bygone era.
