The detail

This brand new villa is built around an original trullo - a traditional Apulian dry stone hut - which dates back to over 500 years ago. A beautiful, rural aesthetic is found throughout, thanks to gorgeous natural gardens filled with fruit and olive trees outside, and whitewashed stone walls and rustic arched ceilings inside. There are also plenty of modern, cutting edge features and fittings to ensure that this villa is luxurious and as comfortable as can be. Guests will want to spend plenty of time outside where there are gorgeous gardens; a pretty pool area and patio, perfect for soaking up some rays; and a wonderful covered eating space, just right for some al fresco dining as the sun begins to set.

Inside this fabulous villa, which is split into separate ‘trulli’, is a pretty open plan living area. This space has comfy sofas, a beautiful rugged dining table made from solid wood and a fantastic modern kitchen. It’s a very social space, with high quality fittings and interesting artwork. The kitchen has everything you could want to cook up some delicious locally sourced food, and there’s space around the dining table for your whole group to sit and eat together.

In this main part of the villa there are two bedrooms. One of these has a glorious king sized bed, stone shelving and patio doors that open up onto the picturesque grounds. The other has twin beds and is perfect for both adults and children. These two bedrooms share a nice modern bathroom with a shower.

The next part of the villa, which is adjoined to the main building, but accessed from a separate entrance, has another open plan lounge and kitchen area. There’s one bedroom in this trulli, which has a king sized bed and space for two children in a giant bunk, which sits above the king. This separate part of the villa also has its own bathroom.

The famous and inspiring ‘White City’ of Ostuni is just a short drive from Trulli Itaka. It is a fantastic place for people looking to enjoy the hustle and bustle of true Italian life. Sit and sip your coffee watching the world go by, or try some incredible local food. Or, simply stroll around these winding old streets and see what hidden gems you can find. The pretty and historic town of Ceglie Messapica is also right on your doorstep and home to some great restaurants.
