Perched in its own sprawling and green estate, Trekenning House is a spacious and ultra-comfortable detached manor house, refurbished inside and out, and available to rent as a self-catered holiday home for up to sixteen guests. Packed with high-end amenities, beautifully and tastefully decorated throughout, and with abundant private outside space, Trekenning House is the ideal getaway for family and friends looking to unwind in style.
As you approach the house, you can't help but be enthralled by the majesty and grandeur of the home with its sweeping lawns and majestic white walls. Once you enter the property, the excitement continues. Everything about Trekenning House has been conceived and created with absolute attention to detail, coming together to result in a unique space successfully combining the home's historic charm with judicious modern touches.
As well as a traditional oil-fired AGA, the kitchen boasts an induction hob, two electric ovens, two fridges, two dishwashers and a large separate walk-in pantry, whilst in the utility you will find a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. You have everything you need to cook up a storm before taking a seat to celebrate around the grand dining room table that seats sixteen. For more casual meals there is charming seven person breakfast table in the kitchen along with a breakfast bar.
The house benefits from eight bedrooms: a super king with ensuite and free standing bath, two kings also with ensuites, a king with a nursery / walk in dressing room attached, a versatile super-king/twin single set up, and a double with a single bunk above it. There are also two singles with additional trundles on request. Two additional shared bathrooms and two WCs are all finished tastefully and plumbed in with high pressure hot water.
While the majority of guests spend most of their time outdoors, either at the beach six miles away, relaxing in the hot tub or playing on the front lawn and surrounding grounds where you will find table tennis and badminton, there is plenty to do indoors during the rainy days. As well as a games room with a pool table, table football, Bluetooth record player and smart TV, a favourite is the cinema room where you can sink into bean bags to watch a movie on Disney Plus or Netflix, or challenge friends on the Xbox. You will also find multiple cosy nooks to snuggle up in with a book or board game, in the colder months the wood-burning stoves in the games room and snug keep the house toasty.
Despite the feeling of pure tranquillity, the house is conveniently located for amenities with a shop and a great pub in easy walking distance. A little further on, six miles away, you'll find stunning beaches which are popular with energetic children and more sedate grandparents alike. Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth are particular recommendations with stunning beaches and walking or hiking the South West Coast Path. For surfing and nightlife head to Fistral Beach in Newquay, with its brilliant local crowd and stunning beach.
