This luxurious holiday home is set above the Thames with stunning views and a large garden leading down to the riverbank. Inside, you’ll find warm and welcoming living spaces such as a double-height library and a sitting room with an enormous open fire - the perfect spot to put your feet up and relax after a walk in the Berkshire countryside. Outside, you’ll be able to sit out on the terrace and soak up the scenery with a glass of something, lighting the fire pit to keep you warm late into the evening.
You’ll find the house down a peaceful country lane in a quiet and secluded spot where you’ll have plenty of privacy. The interior has been elegantly furnished with large living spaces, perfect for entertaining. Relax in the beautiful library with a double-height window overlooking the river and a large selection of books, a pool table and a tennis table. Cook in the contemporary kitchen that leads straight through to the dining room. After dinner, head through to the sitting room where you can sink into big comfy sofas in front of a roaring fire.
Upstairs, there are five large bedrooms, all thoughtfully decorated to create relaxing spaces. They all have double beds and some have views over the river and out to the countryside beyond. There are two bathrooms, one with a beautiful freestanding bath where you can lie back and unwind after a day of exploring.
The house is located in the charming village of Cookham on the banks of the River Thames and there’s plenty to see and do in the area. Go for a stroll along the river to get your bearings and enjoy the peaceful scenery. Head back to the house via the pretty High Street where you’ll find some independent boutiques and antiques shops as well as some good pubs and restaurants. For a bit of culture, stop off at the Sir Stanley Spencer Gallery and learn about the village’s artistic history.
If you fancy stretching your legs with a stroll through the countryside, head out to the Cookham Commons where you can walk among the woodlands and grasslands and enjoy fantastic views over the Berkshire countryside. There’s a boat available to hire so you can explore the area from the water. The house also makes a great base for attending the famous Henley Royal Regatta, events like Henley Festival or even a day at the races at Royal Ascot.

There is also a one off £300 cleaning fee payable per booking as well as a refundable damage deposit.
