Perched in a small valley that is overlooked by picturesque open hillside fields and wooded copses, Offa’s Pitch, is far from towns and cities, meaning you can immerse yourself in the tranquility of the Great British countryside. Once you step inside this lodge, which blends nicely with its surroundings, you will be taken aback. Elegant finishings and retro additions give Offa’s Pitch its wow factor, as does the fabulous hand made kitchen, complete with pyrolytic oven, induction hob, refrigerator with icebox and dishwasher. The open plan living space, complete with designer furniture and a wonderful comfy bed is fantastic, and has wooden floors and lovely wooden framework around whitewashed walls, that give the place a bright, airy feel. Gaze out of the glass windows and all you can see is pure uninterrupted countryside. Dine on your own private terrace gazing out over the hillsides that surround you, as the brook trickles by.
In spring venture out in the green countryside and spot newly born animals playing in the grass. Come winter, when the ground is frosty and the crisp skies clear, wrap up warm and head for a stroll around Blakeridge Wood as your breath makes brief clouds in the air. Once you arrive back at Offa’s Pitch, you can relax and unwind in this luxurious and beautiful self-catering lodge that retains plenty of character whilst also being comfortable and modern. This really is a secluded escape for couples looking for a romantic hideaway in breathtaking Shropshire Hills - a recognised Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This unique tent-shaped lodge is made of solid oak and is rigid and strong and has a delightful stylish interior.
As well as being a wonderful romantic escape, Offa’s Pitch also ensures you have great access to the Shropshire Hills, and is surrounded by gorgeous countryside. The lodge is situated in the Upper Clun Valley, which has plenty of undisturbed wildlife all around, and if you’re lucky you can spot timid roe deer and fallow, rare curlew and other beautiful birds including buzzards, redpolls and linnets. On cloudless nights stargazing is a real treat, made all the more enjoyable thanks to the lack of street lighting for miles around. Wrap up warm, sit on your deck and stare at the starry sky above. Ramblers and outdoors enthusiasts will be pleased to know that there are plenty of brilliant walking routes right on your doorstep, so be sure to venture out and explore this magnificent part of the country. There are also plenty of quaint villages nearby offering wonderful places to eat if you fancy an evening out.

Our changeover days are on Mondays and Fridays. For 2023 Offa's Pitch is £190 per night to December 22nd with a supplement for Bank Holidays of £20.00. We have additional services available such as wood burning Hot Tubs, Fire bowls, and eBike hire details of these are in the Information Booklet we will send to you when you book and also available on our website www.offaspitch.co.uk.
