Situated off the coast of Dubrovnik, on its very own small rocky island, sits Lighthouse Grebeni. This truly is a unique and luxurious holiday home that offers access to the beautiful city, with its own idyllic, peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle. As you approach your own private island through the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea, you will be blown away its beauty and seclusion. This old converted lighthouse, which was built in 1872, sits alone on the rocky outcrop and has everything you could want for a wonderfully relaxed holiday in the sunshine.
A lovely interior, with nautical colour schemes of blues and whites, sets the tone for your stay. Gaze out of the windows at the breathtaking coastal views, or sit in front of the satellite TV and enjoy a film before heading to bed for a lovely night’s sleep. There are five bedrooms (three doubles and two singles), meaning the lighthouse can sleep eight people with ease, and there are also two bathrooms, with showers and toilets. The kitchen is fully equipped allowing you to cook up some locally bought produce and seafood if you wish. And whilst the interior of this lovingly converted lighthouse is delightful, it’s what sits outside that really makes your stay worthwhile.
Sit out on one of two gorgeous patios, equipped with sun loungers and parasols with breathtaking views, as the sea breeze cools you down in the mid-afternoon sun. Listen to the water lapping against the rocks below and watch protected yellow legged gulls flying above. If you get too hot then simply jump in your own swimming pool, which is filled with sea water, and cool down gazing out at Babin Kuk, one of Dubrovnik’s most elite locations.
Diving enthusiasts will be pleased to know that there is a shipwreck and reef nearby which can be explored to great lengths. You can also call the speed boat driver to drop you back on the mainland to spend some time in amongst the absolutely stunning city of Dubrovnik making the most of all of the wonders that are on offer, from its tremendous restaurants to its picturesque coastal walks.
