This honey coloured thatched cottage is the perfect place to while away a holiday. Charm oozes from its blue painted windows and doors, and the high beamed ceilings, Breton granite fireplace and exposed stone walls help this cottage retain its authenticity, whilst still providing plenty of style.
Inside, white walls and terracotta tiled floors are complimented by comfy furniture and pretty flower arrangements. The family sized living room is great for chilling with a book, or settling down with the family and watching a DVD from the great selection that is on offer. In the cooler months a wood burning stove glows warmly, making the cottage all that more cosy after a brisk country walk.
Plenty a balmy evening will be spent on your private terrace, or wandering the large shared grounds. The swimming pool is large and will provide cool relief from the sun on hot days. An added bonus is that the pool is heated and has a cover so it can be used on cooler days, or night times for a magical swim beneath the stars. The grounds are pretty and ample, and because the property is situated in a tiny hamlet, they are safe for children to explore and play in.
The friendly owners here are great and have quite possibly thought of everything you will need to make your holiday run as smoothly as possible. Aside from being thoughtful, they also offer a range of holistic therapies and beauty treatments; so if the need for a pamper session arises, you are in the right place!
The surrounding area is full of pretty villages and towns, and finding one that is full of charm and historical ambience is almost too easy. For example Josselin is a quaint little town that sits on the Oust river. Dominated by a beautiful 17th century cathedral, Josselin has plenty of narrow streets to explore. Carnac is a wonderful coastal town where you can sample typical Breton cuisine in an effort to fuel up in order to explore the town, its mystical pre-historic standing stones, and long sandy beach.
