Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life with a peaceful stay in this cosy 18th century cottage in the heart of Oxfordshire. Recently renovated, the cottage combines traditional style with luxury touches. Easily accessible by rail, you and up to five family or friends can experience the tranquil and slower pace of countryside living and use Jasmine cottage as the perfect base to explore Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
As you enter Jasmine Cottage, surrounded by original 1700s stonework, your eyes explore the large, open-plan living and dining area. In the colder months, the cosy sofas around the crackling log burner are the perfect place to warm tired bodies and hunker down with friends and family for the evening. In the summer months, when your days have been filled with exploring the local area, they’re great for resting tired legs.
The enormous, mature and fully enclosed rear garden is perfect for letting the kids run around, or for relaxing as the sun goes down. As the evening draws in and the temperature drops, throw some logs in the fire pit and enjoy the peace of the countryside. For those that love cooking, there’s a large, fully-equipped kitchen that combines modern technology and appliances with traditional farmhouse style. If the weather plays ball, enjoy some alfresco dining on the patio, but for those days when typical British weather wins, there’s a large dining area as well as a separate breakfast table.
As the night draws in, soak away the stresses of the day in the large bath before retiring to one of the two double bedrooms with excellent views over the front of the property, and tucking the kids into bed in the large twin room at the back. The cottage-style small windows and antique beds make the room feel super cosy as you drift off under soft linen sheets.
Jasmine Cottage is perfectly located in northern Oxfordshire and is easily accessible from major cities like London, Birmingham and Bristol. Spend a day relaxing and pampering at Soho Farmhouse, visit Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm or wander the beautiful local towns of Great Tew, Burford, Milcombe, Bloxham, Hook Norton, Stratford-upon-Avon, Banbury or Bourton-on-the-Water. For nature lovers, explore the rolling hills, stunning countryside and picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. For something more adrenaline-filled, Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix and MotoGP is just over 20 miles away - perfect for race fans.
