Perfectly located for the family-friendly ski resort of Sommand-Praz de Lys, Chalet Le Moulin lies in the French Alps around 50 minutes’ drive from Geneva Airport. In a peaceful setting with a garden, balcony and hot tub, this charming chalet is the ideal choice for a family or group, sleeping up to eight guests.
A traditional log chalet, Chalet Le Moulin lies at the heart of ski country, just a short drive from the Grand Massif. Its south-facing balcony affords it the most spectacular mountain views, and it’s just as you would like it to be inside too.
There are three double bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a cosy lounge with an open fireplace. You have two TVs and DVD players as well as Wi-Fi and plenty of books and films to keep you entertained. A modern kitchen is equipped with appliances including a Nespresso coffee machine and that all-important raclette maker, plus some food and drink basics to get you started.
This chalet will appeal to the whole family, with a decadent wood-fired hot tub for the adults and a cute tree house for the children to hide out in. The surrounding villages don’t just offer skiing: mountain biking, river rafting and tree climbing are among the sporting activities you could try. The summer months also provide the perfect opportunity for hiking through the Alpine hills, discovering farms, forests and mountain chapels along the way.
A pretty garden allows you to dine outside or just enjoy the sun – the fresh air and peace and quiet make it a very tempting option. The village of Mieussy is just a mile away, with a lovely bakery, butchers and delicatessen alongside a high-quality supermarket – making this a rewarding walk.
The village ski resort has 60km of ski runs and 24 lifts – an early morning ski bus stops just down the road during the season. Numerous other resorts including Les Gets and Morillon are within a 15-minute drive and, whatever your level, ski lessons are available to book throughout the area.
Not skiing? Why not take the opportunity to explore Geneva and its famous lake, around 50 minutes from Mieussy. It’s a similar drive to the picturesque French towns of Annecy, known for its canals and cobbles, and Chamonix at the base of Mont Blanc.
Surrounded by natural beauty and wonderfully comfortable, Chalet Le Moulin is an Alpine chalet it’s hard to resist.

Pricing:
Ski in January when the slopes are empty and the snow is crisp £1600/week.
Normally we take bookings from Saturday to Saturday, but outside of really busy times, we can be flexible. Just ask us and we will try and accommodate you :-)

Our all inclusive price, includes the chalet fully prepared by our fabulous French cleaners, with all the beds made with fresh linen, fluffy towels, underfloor heating, unlimited firewood, fast Wifi.
There are log fires in the sitting room and a Norvega wood fired stove and oven in the kitchen.
In the garden, there is a wood fired hot tub with a view over the valley and in our trees our own rustic tree house with balcony and inside a wood stove. There is also an outdoor pizza oven.
We hire the chalet packed with family games, books and a kitchen stocked with herbs, spices, oils and some basic foods. There is also free, unlimited WiFi, DVD library, TVs, music centre.
